PE 500 FG HMW-PE (Food Grade) is a versatile high molecular weight polyethylene grade that offers a unique combination of stiffness, toughness, mechanical damping capabilities, great machinability and moderate wear and abrasion resistance. In less demanding applications with respect to wear and impact resistance, PE 500 may present an economical alternative to standard TIVAR™UHMW-PΕ grades. TIVAR™ CleanStat FG UHMW-PE is a Food Grade material with electro static dissipative properties and EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR § 177.1520 food contact compliance. The material is a favored solution within the food processing and pharmaceutical industries for its superior corrosion and wear resistance, zero moisture absorption and good welding capabilities. For these reasons, this grade can be easily fabricated into components and replacement parts that reduce noise levels and require less frequent cleaning in food processing and packaging plants.

FG UHMW-PE are compliant with EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR § 177.1520 standard, making them the ideal, longer-lasting material for wear parts in dairy, bakery, poultry/meat and other food processing industries where higher temperatures or frequent chemical wash downs shorten part life.
TIVAR™ Sterra™ UHMW-PE shapes are produced from re-processed, industrial ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene materials. These recycled shapes are then re-purposed for use in a variety of industries such as construction and heavy equipment, agriculture and grain handling, bulk material and parcel handling and automotive and transportation.
