Semitron™ Semiconductor Grade

The Semitron™ Semiconductor Grade thermoplastic products were developed to help designers and users optimize the performance of semiconductor and electronics device manufacturing equipment. In addition to device manufacture, many of these materials are ideal for specific environments where wear-resistance, chemical-resistance and the management of static electricity are required. Two groups of Semitron™ products have been developed. One, well suited for device handling and test applications, and a second for next-generation CMP use. Semitron™ grades are available in sheet, rod (some formulations) and machined parts. Some are engineered with specific ESd properties while others offer enhanced purity, wear properties and higher performance in various semiconductor applications.

Aerospace & Defence

Semitron™ ESd HPV PEEK electrostatic dissipative shapes contain specific additives that make it an excellent performer in wear and friction applications where antistatic properties are essential. Due to this, this grade excels in electronic fixture applications that require a high degree of dimensional stability over an extended thermal range, as well as precise machinability. Semitron™ ESd HPV PEEK is ideal for chip trays and carriers, PCB board manufacturing and fixturing for electronic assemblies.

Industry & Marine

Semitron™ ESd 225 are a line of POM shapes characterized by their excellent wear resistance, thermal performance and ability to quickly dissipate static charges. Due to these properties, this grade is ideal for several applications throughout the semiconductor and electronics industry, such as hard disk drive fixtures, high speed electronic printing components, jigs and fixtures for static control and wafer processing components.

ESD Plastics

Semitron™ ESd 520HR is an electrostatic dissipative PAI material that possesses the unique ability to resist dielectric breakdown at high voltages. As a result, Semitron™ ESd 520HR is the only Semitron™ grade that maintains its performance throughout the 100V to 1000V voltage range while also offering the mechanical performance needed to excel in demanding applications. This characteristic, combined with its high strength and heat resistance, make Semitron™ ESd 520HR an ideal solution for test equipment and device handling applications within the semiconductor and electronics industry.
