TEFLON - PTFE

PTFE is a high-performance thermoplastic with exceptional chemical inertness, very low coefficient of friction, excellent electrical insulation, and an operating temperature range from -260°C to +260°C. Non reinforced PTFE provides superior sliding performance, while reinforced grades, such as CarbonGraphite-filled PTFE (25%) and Glass-filled PTFE (25%), offer high wear resistance, increased hardness, improved compressive strength, enhanced thermal conductivity, and dimensional stability. Making these grades ideal for bearings, seals, guides, and components operating under high-temperature or corrosive conditions without lubrication.

Carbon-Graphite PTFE is a high-performance PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) composite reinforced with 25% carbon and graphite, specifically engineered for applications that demand exceptionally low friction, advanced wear resistance, and superior thermal conductivity. The carbon–graphite reinforcement creates a highly stable tribological surface, delivering outstanding dry-running performance, elevated PV limits, and a substantially extended service life in continuous or high-load dynamic environments. Beyond its enhanced mechanical profile, Carbon-Graphite PTFE retains the full chemical inertness of virgin PTFE, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of corrosive environments. The material also provides higher compressive strength, significantly reduced creep deformation, and exceptional sealing and sliding behavior under both thermal and mechanical stress, compared to virgin PTFE. These characteristics make Carbon-Graphite PTFE a preferred solution for precision wear components, including bearings, bushings, seal rings, guides, valve seats, and high-temperature or dry-running mechanical systems.

Glass filled PTFE is a high-performance PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) composite reinforced with 25% glass fibers, engineered for applications requiring significantly enhanced mechanical strength compared to virgin PTFE. The glass fiber reinforcement significantly improves hardness, wear resistance, load-bearing capability, and long-term dimensional stability, especially under continuous load or elevated temperatures. The Glass filled PTFE maintains the benefits of virgin PTFE, low friction, exceptional chemical resistance and non-stick behavior, while providing superior performance in demanding sliding or sealing applications. It is widely used in bearings, bushings, seal rings, guides, conveyor components, and dry-running mechanical parts.

PTFE (Teflon) is a high-performance thermoplastic known for its exceptional chemical inertness, capable of withstanding almost all corrosive chemicals except alkaline metals and extremely low friction. It features a wide operating temperature range (-260°C to +260°C), excellent sealing properties, is an outstanding electrical insulator, and is non-flammable. For applications involving high wear or significant mechanical stress, reinforced PTFE types are used, such as Glass-filled PTFE, Carbon-filled PTFE, and Carbon-Graphite-filled PTFE, offering improved wear resistance, hardness, service life, and load-bearing capability.
