PE 500, UHMW-PE (Polyethylene)

Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene TIVAR® (UHMW-PE) grades meets the demands of many industries, from cryogenic temperatures up to about 85 °C. These materials show outstanding impact strength, excellent wear and abrasion resistance, low friction and excellent release properties. TIVAR® (UHMW-PE) grades are also available as Food Grade, which means that they can be supplied with a declaration of compliance, confirming they comply with the requirements mentioned in the European Regulation (EU) 10/2011. The composition of the raw materials used for the manufacture of TIVAR® stock shapes also complies with the regulations of the United States of America [FDA] for plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
